This weekend on Northwestern Outdoors Radio we are taking you to the remote community of Stehekin, part of Washington's North Cascades National Park Complex. We'll be staying at a comfortable base camp, the Stehekin Valley Ranch, where owner Cliff Courtney will tell you about some of the fantastic outdoors adventures you can enjoy around here. We'll also talk to two of the guests at the ranch who will tell you what they are loving about their fall "get away from it all", and it really is a getaway because the only way to get here is by boat traveling up 55 mile long Lake Chelan, by plane, on horseback or on foot via the Pacific Crest Trail. One of the things you have to do while you are here, especially in the early fall is to go fishing! Luckily for us, John Wilsey with Stehekin Fishing Adventures is taking us out for a fantastic day of dry fly fishing for big trout on the Stehekin River. Throw in regular guests Lance Merz, David Sparks and our Sportsman's Warehouse Trivia Question of the Week and we've got a memorable show coming your way this weekend! Air Date October 07, 2017.
