Host John Kruse travels to Stehekin Valley Ranch in the Washington States North Cascades Park complex to take in an express adventure package over two days. Three wonderful women who love the outdoors will give you more information about these great opportunities to experience a fun time in nature and be back to the Ranch for lunch or dinner. Bethany Porter will start things off, orienting you to the ranch and talking about how she transitioned from being a long time guest to a full time employee. Betsy Hopper saddles up and takes us on a ride to a mountain lake and will tell you about some of the other day and multi-day rides they have available here. Finally, Bethany Gearhard takes us on a kayaking tour out on the headwaters of Lake Chelan and will also tell you about the awesome pedal-assisted electronic bicycles they have for rent at the ranch from Rad Power Bikes. Throw in some trout fishing, hiking, a waterfall and wildlife watching and you've got a full dose of nature and low impact adventure coming your way!

We traveled to Lewiston, Idaho to visit the Jack O'Connor Hunting Heritage and Education Center and are sharing a great show about it! Shirley Phillips, the Executive Director of the Center, will tell you about Jack O'Connor, arguably the best known hunting writer of the 20th century and also about his wife Eleanor, an accomplished huntress in her own right. Speaking of women and hunting, firearms writer Wayne Van Zwoll is part of a non-profit group offering very low cost opportunities for women to experience an African Safari. Andrew McKean, Editor at Large for Outdoor Life Magazine, reflects on the legacy O'Connor, the former shooting editior leaves behind, and Michelle Peters, President of the local Visitors Bureau, has got some great fishing for you to enjoy around here too!
