John also goes crabbing with friends, catches some nice pink salmon right off the beach and goes for a short but fun boat ride with Deception Pass Tours with an emphasis on both local history and wildlife. Last and definitely not least, John checks out the menu at Callen's a restaurant a short walk from the campground at Fort Casey that emphasizes locally sourced seafood in their meals. For the record, their Dungeness crab omelet is the best omelet I've ever had!
